Te nedaudz info par D3, bet angļu valodā :
I HIGHLY recommend taking vitamin D3. For one, it suppresses the appetite and you can find proof of this via online clinical studies. Also vitamin D stimulates the body to go into fat-burning mode as opposed to fat-storing mode. If you are overweight or gaining weight easily, your body is in fat-storing mode, so adequate vitamin D is crucial. 5,000 to 10,000 IU per day short-term is beneficial for weight loss and other benefits. Don't take my word for it, you can find studies on Google by searching "weight loss and vitamin D" as well as "obesity and vitamin D" and "Vitamin D and appetite suppression." Studies show that vitamin D levels at the start of a low calorie diet predict weight loss success.
You can safely have 10,000 to 20,000 IU daily for the 14 days while on Almased. You need to look up some peer-reviewed scientific studies. You will find that amount is safe AND beneficial short-term. I have my vit D levels monitored by my doctor while taking 10,000 IU daily and it took 2 months at that intake just to get my levels up to 60 (60-70 is considered optimal and some researchers find 80 is good for disease prevention). Levels over 100 are not good though.
Vitamin D3 is a lipophilic vitamin and the dangers are over rated, very few people experience vitamin D overdosing. A simple blood test can remedy any concerns you may have regarding toxic levels. Most will be surprised that they are really very low, even with adequate amounts of sunshine, supplements, good nutrition, etc. I eat organic, whole raw foods and grass fed, organic meats but recently found out through a simple blood test that I was low on vitamin D. I started supplementing 5000 mgs D3 with a source of fat for better absorption for 6 months and was still on the low side although my levels had improved. To state that taking 10,000 mgs D3 is dangerous is not the most accurate message to share, perhaps a good blood test would be the best advice and then dose from there. I am currently on 30,000 mgs D3 taken with a source of fat for absorption; doctor approved.
About the strength of Vit D3 . If you'll have 1,000 IU of D3 , it doesn't do anything for you. Just like to stay in the sun for 5 min. Once endocrinologist recommended for me 50,000 IU ...yes ! fifty thousand units to support my thyroid. Your low thyroid contributes also to your weight gain , so is resisted insulin.
